KiwiHost Limited and its franchisees will collect personal information, manage and use it, and disclose it in a way that complies with relevant legislation in New Zealand.

Our systems do not currently provide facilities for the secure transmission of information across the Internet when registering on a workshop or utilising other forms. All parties should be aware that there are inherent risks transmitting information across the Internet.

Purpose of Policy

KiwiHost takes its obligations under the relevant Privacy Acts very seriously and will take all steps in order to comply with the Acts and protect the privacy of the personal information that we hold. This policy sets out how we do so.

The Personal Information the Organsation Collects

We may collect and hold the following personal information: names, addresses and phone numbers of participants, together with assessments for participants. We also record employment and contact details of participants, phone and email.

Collection Statement

KiwiHost collects personal and business information. This information is collected for the purposes of recording participant attendance and completion of KiwiHost training, and informing employers of training outcomes. We also use collected personal information to notify our clientele and participants of potential training opportunities or other useful information.


We will take all reasonable steps to protect the security of the personal information that we hold. This includes appropriate measures to protect both electronic and hard copy information.

Contracting Out

We do not contract out or sell personal information under any circumstances.

Legal Reasons

We collect personal information in order to comply with our legal obligations. We also are required to collect personal information for funding bodies and accreditation bodies where this is a requirement of our contract.

In collecting personal information the Company will:

  • only collect information for lawful purposes related to its function;
  • only collect the information that is necessary and by lawful means;
  • where possible only collect personal information that is provided by the individual to whom the information relates, collecting in a way that is not personally intrusive;
  • where information is provided by someone else, ensure that collection has been authorised by the individual concerned, or by someone who is legally authorised to provide it on their behalf; and
  • notify the individual concerned that personal information is being collected, either at the time of collection or as soon as practicable afterwards.

The Company will declare to individuals from whom information is collected:

    the purpose for collecting the personal information;

  • whether or not the collection is voluntary and any consequences for not providing it;
  • how the information is to be held and the intended recipients;
  • the name and address of any agency used to collect information on their behalf; and
  • how individuals can obtain access to their information, check it for accuracy and completeness, and make application to correct it.

The Company will manage personal information responsibly by:

  • taking reasonable steps to ensure that personal information held is relevant to the purpose for which it was collected, accurate, up to date and not misleading;
  • retaining personal information for no longer than necessary; then disposing of it securely in accordance with approved methods;
  • protecting it from loss or unauthorised access, use, disclosure, or misuse; and from unauthorised modification;
  • taking reasonable steps to prevent its disclosure without authorisation by external service providers; and
  • only disclosing personal information outside the company where:
  • its disclosure has been consented to by the individual to whom it relates; or
  • its disclosure is required by law and requested in an authorised written form; or
  • it is reasonably believed to be necessary to prevent or lessen a serious threat to life or health of any person.


Where you have selected the “To be Invoiced” or “Order Number” option, payment is due prior to the commencement of the relevant course.

An Invoice will automatically be generated as part of the booking process and we recommend you print the invoice for your records. A copy of the Invoice will also be sent to you via email as part of the confirmation process.

Details of your booking will be confirmed once the booking process has been completed. However, your place on the course will not be guaranteed until payment in full is received. KiwiHost will make every effort to notify you prior to removing any booking but it is your responsibility to ensure payment is made on time. Please note, registration by these methods contains an obligation to pay and KiwiHost will be entitled to pursue payment and recover costs in the manner set out below if payment is not received.

No payments are to be withheld or any deductions made from the fee without the prior written consent of KiwiHost.

Interest at the rate of 12% per annum calculated on a daily basis shall be payable on any monies outstanding from the date payment was due until the date payment is received by KiwiHost.

All recovery costs incurred by KiwiHost arising out of your failure to pay by the due date, including full legal costs, disbursements and collection costs shall be payable by you upon demand.


You acknowledge that you have read these Terms and Conditions and in any event are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions upon any booking request.

You acknowledge that payment by credit card using Paypal is at your own risk. Should payment not be received by KiwiHost due to any error or defect of the Paypal system you will still be liable to make payment of the course fees to KiwiHost.

You further acknowledge that you have viewed the course outline and meet the course prerequisite.

These Terms and Conditions may be subject to change at any time without notification. Any changes will be effective immediately and will be displayed on the KiwiHost website. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are familiar with KiwiHost’ Terms and Conditions. Each and every time that you use the services of KiwiHost you agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions together with all other terms and conditions specific to the service KiwiHost is providing.


Whilst every effort has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the information in these pages, the content is subject to continuous review and is updated from time to time. KiwiHost makes no warranties or representations, expressed or implied, as to the accuracy of information contained at this site. Participants enrolling with KiwiHost should consult the latest KiwiHost calendar to ensure they comply with all requirements and regulations, and/or make further enquiries with the relevant course administrators.

Subject to unforeseen circumstances such as participant demand and/or resource availability, KiwiHost reserves the right to cancel, or change the content, timing or method of presentation of any course.
