Back in 1987 - just after the share market crash Darren started and managed an importing and distribution business. He was involved for 17 years the last few were in the role of General Manager reporting to the multinational company that purchased the business. This experience of either running his own businesses or leading a local subsidiary of an international corporate organisation has provided him with a broad range of experience. This includes efficient warehouse and logistic operations, sales and marketing, managing staff, implementing and overseeing IT systems through to financial accounting and budgeting. This leaves him well versed with the challenges being faced by today's business owners and managers and able to offer advice on practical solutions that will get results.

Outside of work, family time and marine interests including voluntary search and rescue work for a local Coastguard unit keeps him extremely busy.

Nicola has a strong background in customer service and account management. Living for some years in Sydney she worked for an IT company coordinating their training team and promoting the 40 different training courses available to an existing clientele. Working closely in a busy training team environment and her passion to reach the right solutions for a person’s individual needs, contribute to the range of skill factors and enthusiasm she brings to KiwiHost.

Recently returning from a stint in Ecuador, she has joined the KiwiHost team and is eager to guide individuals to choose and attend the training workshops to enhance their customer service capabilities, and to reach their full potential in service relationships which in turn adds priceless value to business.
